SATURDAY 21st
Swell/Surf: Rising SW swell with 4’ occ. 5’ surf (shoulder high, with head high sets). Larger sets develop late running slightly overhead.
Wind: ENE 5-15kts.
SUNDAY 22nd
Swell/Surf: SW swell builds further with 4-6’ surf (head/slightly overhead). Building sets to a couple feet overhead through the afternoon, strongest late.
Wind: ENE 6-10kts, most of the day. Easing offshores and possibly becoming more light/variable in the later afternoon.
Forecast Outlook
New SW (220-205) swell will build in through the weekend, thanks to a recent strong storm that pushed out from under New Zealand a little over a week ago. Shoulder-head high surf will build in through Saturday with a few larger sets late in the day. The swell will build further on Sunday with head high+ surf and larger sets up to a couple feet overhead over the afternoon.
Wind/Weather: Light to moderate offshore ENE winds will continue over the weekend in the 5-15kt zone. We’ll generally avoid thunderstorms Saturday and into Sunday, with an increased chance to see more variable wind and some thunderstorms develop late in the day/evening on Sunday. Any showers that pop up will be capable of temporarily impacting winds and surf conditions.
